Message Box

Hi there,

I have a problem with creating message box in asp.net with vb language.
Here is my coding :


Protected Sub btnNew_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnNew.Click


      btnNew.Attributes.Add("onclick", "var r=confirm('New Data ?');if(r==true){return true}else{return false}")


      'Call clear form procedure

      Call BLANK()

End Sub


My problem is, when I click button "btnNew", the popup message box does not appear suddently, it pass away the message box and continue to "Call BLANK". But, when I click "btnNew" again for the second times, the message box is appear correctly.
Why is it happen ?
