In the process of trying to upgrade to Visual Web Developer 2008 Express / SQL Server 2008 Express from the 2005 versions, I lost the database connections. They show up with red Xs.
Can I repair this all at once for all my sites or do I need to go in and repair each one individually. Of course this is only on my local machine, not on the production server so it's not a problem until I try to update something that depends on connecting to a database.
I uninstalled all vestiges of the 2005 VWDExpress and SQL Server Express editions before installing the 2008 versions because I was having install troubles. (Turned out to be a registry problem that I was able to eventually solve.)
Please keep your answers to the extreme novice level - I am still learning about the sql databases, but I know that it's being used for the storage of certain functions in the web.config file.
