I've noticed a strange behaviour on one the pages in our application.
I have tried to debug the problem using a simple test page and have noticed similar effects so I wonder if anyone can off some advice.
Simple page: 1 text field, 1 VAM image button, validation summary and a call to a user control.
User Control:1 text field, 1 VAM image button.
The page image button has validationgroup="*"
The user control image button has validationgroup="TestUserControl"
Both the text boxes have a requiredfield validator.
When I click the page image button I get 2 messages in the validation summary and 2 error indicators (next to the appropriate fields).
