I have a client that wants to control the order of her items within some of the pages and drop down selections.. since most of the data in the fields i can sort on are all the same with part numbers and titles and so on.. i was looking to add a new column that woudl be for sorting. If she decides she wants to do this and not use the sorting based on the other fields i need to have something similar to how Netflix and Blockbuster update their movie lists within your que when you login.
I need to list out whatever items and in order. Then provide her with the ability to say switch out item # 25 with #1 and shift everything else down in order.
Is there some sites i can look at to accomplish something like this?
Is this the way to do it?
Im open to suggestions on how to give her full control of the sorting order from within her management console...
thanks.
