Javascript to WCF Problem

I am following the tutorial at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb924552(v=VS.100).aspx exactly to the letter.  However when I go to run my page, I always get SandwichServices not defined in the javascript console.  Has anyone done this tutorial successfully?  I'm new to Javascript but not WCF and programming so any help would be appreciated.
