 With VS 2005 and IIS, it seems very easy to create a WS. But I have two questions:
1. When create a webservice, the template file has a line code as:

<System.Web.Services.WebService(Namespace:="http://tempuri.org/")> _

...
Then I use this ws in another web app. firstly, add web reference. There is field Web Reference Name when you add web reference. I entered as myServer (the server name to host the ws)
then in I use the web service in code as:
Dim myWS As New MyServer.MyServices

myValue  = myWS.WebServiceMethod()
Question is: no place use Namespace:="http://tempuri.org/". Seem it can be ignored, right?
2. After I deployed the WS on a web server to public, any one who knows the uri can access this web service in their code with web reference. How to authentication to access this web service? suach user name and password. So that only ahthorizd users can access the web servi ...
