Not able to see Update Cancel button when Gridview in Edit mode?

Hi why I am not able to see the Update / Cancel buttons when I click on Edit inside Gridview. Appreciate your help. Bob Here is my code. I still have two issues: 1. how to show Update/Cancel buttons, when a user click on edit button. 2. To explain: difference between ButtonFields and Button . I was able to have gridview turns labels to a text box once edit is clicked ( I am refering to <asp:ButtonField ), However, when clicking <asp:Button, nothing happen....
