Hi,
Is it possible to update/fill a textbox with the same value that is in a drop down list when a page posts back?  I have a drop down list bound to a sqldatasource.  The sqldatasource is filtered by a dropdownlist on the page. This works fine.  So if the user clicks on CityA, in ddlCity, the corresponding state comes up in ddlState.  This is working fine.  My problem is that when I try to bind ddlState to the appropriate source I get an error that basically states this can't be done (based on all that I found googling the error).  Rather than try to figure out what all the samples mean to "fix" it, I'm wondering if there is a way to simply have the statetextbox = ddlstate on postback.
In Access I would've written it on the update event so that when the one control is updated the next one is updated as well.  IE  me.StateTextbox = me.ddlstate.  Is there ...
