Hello,

Just starting to look at an ASP .NET web site that presents some data that we have already in a Winforms application.

Briefly: Winforms application has been written with a data layer (C# DLL) consisting of strongly typed datasets and static "Get", "Fill", "Update" functions; which do more than just communicate with the database; e.g. handle errors, deal with nested tables and such like.

So, we'd like to re-use these in our ASP .NET web site - we have our datasets ready to go and want to display them on grids or forms (e.g. details view).

How do we do this?  I've added the projects in but only the TableAdapters appear - not the strongly typed datasets!

Any pointers would be appreciated; we want to use one of these strongly typed datasets as a datasource for a grid view; and call the appropriate get function in the DLL to fill it.

Thanks in advance,

Dr. Michael Dye
