Hello all,
Again I need help. I am creating a web site (ASP 2.0 C#) that will be used not only for the general public, but also for our sales and customers.
What I trying to accomplish (without much success) is to have my login page on "submit" button click, read the database table (users) , compare the user name and password from the login textboxes to what is in the database and if found redirect to a web page for that users specific role.
The db table (users) contains these fields (ID, username, password, role). Roles are Admin, Sales, Customer.
I've written before the login authentication and redirect using the web config and forms authentication methods. My main problem is reading the db and returning in strings the three values I need to proceed (username, password and role).
Thanks
