How do you show a pdf document in an Object Tag

Hi
I would like to use an Object tag to show a pdf document, but when I use the tag, it is not displaying. Here is my code:
<object id="pdfView" name="pdfPlayer" type="application/pdf" data="http://localhost/pdftest/rc029-010d-mysql.pdf">
                                 
</object>
Does anyone know why it won't show in the browser? Further, I would like to use the param tags in the object tag, because I want to switch off right click, and the option to print and save the document, but  I am unable to the attribute names for theses?
