I have the following scenario:
1) User selects a value in drop list and clicks "Go" button
2) Based on the SelectedValue of the dropdown, I populate a grid (which has checkboxes)
3) If any checkbox in the Grid is clicked, the dropdown and "Go" is disabled (using javascript)
4) Finally after Checking/Unchecking, user clicks "Save".
The problem is when the user Clicks "Save" I am not able to get the actual "SelectedValue" from the dropdown. It is going back to Index 0. (In the javascript, I am just disabling the button and dropdown, I am not touching the SelectedValue)
I think this maybe happening for security purposes.
So, could you please let me know if its possible to find the selectedvalue of a dropdown without having to postback for "Checked" event.
