aspnet_applications - What data is stored on the server?

Hi,
Because I have more of the same applications on different domains.
Please if you check if my claim is correct or not.

If  delete from the web.config applicationName ="/" in table "aspnet_Applications"  the column "ApplicationName", are store in a table domain name?

On the desktop, save in this form "/Website8".

What data is stored on the server?
