I have a requirement to take a current corporate website that is pretty large (100 or so pages total) and see what it would take to make that site converted over to a CMS application.
The current site is done in .NET 3.5, has TONS of css/js/image files and is really customized.  There are only 2 "layouts" though, which one has a Header (static menu below header), Content, and Footer (top to bottom) and the other has a Header (same static menu below header), section menu (varies per section) + header image for that section, Content, and Footer.
My question is has anyone had to do something like this and if so, does anyone recommend a particular CMS application over another?  Would it make sense to ever try and write your own CMS?
Here are the layouts I will need.
