Question: Is there a way to deny access to a few specific pages of a website without using a database to manage roles and memberships?
For example, suppose my site has a blog and I create all of my blog entries at www.schmedlap.com/blog/inputForm (I just made that up ? not an actual URL). That page should only be accessible to me. Is there a way for me to deny access to anyone other than me?
I understand how to implement the ASP.NET Membership API, but my understanding is that the Membership API can only function with a database. I do not want to pay for database hosting and it would be overkill for my narrow purposes. I have no plans on having user accounts or memberships. I simply want to ensure that a few specific pages are off-limits to anyone except me.
Any suggestions?
