Integrate html and aspx.

For several years I've been working with Visual Studio developing an aspx web site.  I have now been given an HTML design for another web site, with the client wanting me to develop aspx logic using this design.  Can somebody point me at a paper or two that I should read about the best way to do this.  His design uses style sheets, input controls, etc etc,, but of course it doesn't use an ASPX master page or other asp controls.
