Generate Gridview display of Profile data

I have users submit some personal profile information such as FirstName, LastName, Phone etc. that is stored as part of their profile in the aspnet_Profile table.

As administrator, I would like to bring up a Gridview of all profile informationm, where I could sort and select a record and then edit or delete that record. If the information in that aspnet_Profile table were in a "normal" format it would be a piece of cake to do what I want.

THE QUESTION:  How can I create a Gridview of the profile information that contains the fields FirstName, LastName, Phone etc where I can then sort by these fields (or for that matter, do any of the other things that a gridview or gridview / deta.  Or maybe I should be asking how to create and configure a sqldatasource that puts me in position to make a gridview / formview that show the data so that I can perform the normal edit / sort / insert / update / delete functions?
