Do I need a custom provider or simply a new table?

HI Folks,

I would like to store some extra data for users in a SQL table, instead of using the default profile provider.
Now...do I need to make my own custom provider for that? Or can I simply create a new table in my ASPNETDB.MDF
and store my info in the new table?
