Writing to ContentPlaceHolder from *.cs code behind file

Hi:  I would appreciate some tips on the following
I have a master page and contentplaceholder3 and when I use Response.Write from the code behind file, asp does not write in the contentplaceholder3.
 
How can I in a code behind file write to contentplaceholder3?
