I am trying to call Web service methods from JS functions. I've found a sample (http://www.asp.net/ajax/documentation/live/tutorials/ConsumingWebServicesWithAJAXTutorial.aspx) and it works - but it stops working as soon as I enable forms authentication. When I enable it, a Runtime error "Syntax error" appears when page loads; and more, I cannot debug the problem - for when debugging is prompted and I say yes, nothing happens. After this error, page loads like normally.
Here is how ScriptManager is adjusted in that sample:
