How to run mulitple threads and suspend them

Hi Friends ,

I have requirement . like i will  have grid which will contain  button " Register". what this will do it will register a query with a system and will send event notifications  for that query . Similraly when user unregister that query it should stop sending notifications .....

One more  thing user can register for multiple queries at a time ... and the evnet notifications of similar kind are to  be aggregated in to single evnt notification. so in short baisc task are ..

1. Query Registration  2. Event aggragtion  3.  Disptaching of event notifications

I thought of implenting these through threads i.e when user registers a query  athread will start . This thread will give  event notifications  and  aggraegte  and dipatch the event notoifications...  when unregister then that  thread will be killed or end...
