Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm definitely a novice to ASP.NET. I checked out other postings and forums, but nobody has quite the same problem. From what I've read, I think I should be able to access the Role definitions from a Web Application too.
I created a Web Application (not Web Site) project that uses the Membership and Role providers. I created the database using the aspnet_regslq.exe out on SQL Server 2005. I can get into Project - ASP.NET configuration. Selected different providers for each feature...tested these and they worked. Set up users and roles too. Farther down is a snippet from the web.config file.
I am able to code successfully to access the Membership Provider. But when I code for the Role Provider, it doesn't see the definitions for the Role. I get ther error...'Security.Prgmr.Roles' does not contain a definition for 'GetAllRoles ...
