My ASP.NET website has many pages. I have a treeview control setup so that the pages can be selected. Not all users can see all pages. At first I thought I could use roles in order to restrict what pages each user could see or the actions a user could take once on a page. The problem that I have is that depending on what page the user accesses, his or her role might change. For example. I have a user who is allowed full Admin rights when she is entering new customers. When that same person selects the EmployeeMaintenance webpage, I want her to be an inquiry only user. In other words, based on the page that the user selects, their role will change.
How can I do this with the ASP.NET membership provider or do I have to roll out something myself?
