I am trying to enhance a user registration process and due to reporting needs have adapted a custom table based profile provider. Some code extracts below. An additional wizardstep has been added to the create user wizard which captures the custom profile properties and I've added the properties to the UserCreated event but the current setup doesn't save the profile properties ( a separate page outside the user creation wizard does work fine if user logged in ). It seems that the problem is that the user isn't logged in so working the profile won't do it for me as I enabled anonymous for testing and it does set an anonymous profile with the properties. It does add the user to the role with the actual username though.
I would like to hear your ideas on how to enable the creation of the profile directly in the Create user wizard (i.e. before user logs in to make it seemless). Can I specify the Username with the Profile call somehow? Sorry if this is a sim ...
