This is probably not directly related to ASP.Net but it is affecting our ASP.Net applications nevertheless.
We have a Windows 2003 Server, IIS 6.0, ASP.Net 2.0 setup that does not use anonymous accounts, we feel confident that we have configured IIS accordingly (windows authentication) and assigned the correct permissions to the application folder.
The site typically works fine without prompting for user credentials, but sometimes when navigating the site from an email link the user will be prompted for their credentials, the users and servers are all on the same domain.
Is there anything else I can check? What could be causing this prompt?
