Format a NUmber to be displayed in the textbox and in the Gridview as XX-XXXXXXX

I am not sure whether this is feasible using String.Format();

I have string
like "771234567" i want to display in such a format that "77-1234567", (After 2
digit i want to place a -). Is it possible with String.Format()?
