Hi,
I have a Windows Service which inserts data into a database whenever there is change in data from a connected OPC Server(KepServer). When I manually start the service from the Services Manager of Windows, the service inserts the data as required. But when the service starts up on system restart, it just writes one row of data and nothing else, when the output must be 18 rows of data. Because it is Windows Service, it is difficult to debug and doesn't give any error as well. I have checked everywhere for a solution. Please help, Iam new to SQL Server as well.
I have tried to run the service under logged in user, Local System, Local Service and so on but with no success. Why does it behave differently on system restart?
OS:Windows 7
DB: SQL Server Express 2012
Visual Studio 2010 Express
