I have a project which has a few web.config files (for forms authentication). When i publish the project (right click project > publish) to the server it doesnt seem to copy these web.config files over even if i select the option to copy all files, (ideally i would like to copy the required files not including the source files).
Reading around i installed WDP (Web Deployment Project) but once ive built the project i have to open the folder WDP created for me go into the release folder and then copy files manually to the server's inetpub > Site folder.
Could anyone confirm this is correct or if there is a better way? I just find it time consuming having to copy files in this manner but it does allow me to copy web.config files, so not sure if im doing something wrong or if there is a better way?
