bind data to checkbox control

DataTable dt = new DataTable();
 dt.Columns.Add("checkbox_field");
  DataRow dr = dt.NewRow();
 dr["checkbox_field"] = 0;         <-- why I assign 0 to this cell
 dt.Rows.Add(dr);

and then bind to repeater checkbox field:
  Repeater.DataSource = dt;
  Repeater.DataBind();

the checkbox in repeater:
<asp:CheckBox runat="server" Checked='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"checkbox_field") %>'  ID="checkID" />     <-- error msg: "Specified cast is not valid."
