how to update sql server by an application

Hello,
 
Im trying to write a webpage with asp.net, that shows real time data from sql server. that part is allready working.
also i have an application that updates in real time the sql database written in c#.
if i want to upload my site from my computer (which i do), how do i make my application run on the server?
how such things work? i need the application to run and update the database regardless if a page is open or not.
