Im using c# asp.net
Ive a textfile that contains records from a DB. it is one massive string of 123522 chars.
Each record is 2422 chars long including the header and footer record.
There are a total of 51 records. taking away the header and footer that is 49 records in a single string each of 2422 characters.
The records are not delimited in any way, but knowing the above is there any way i can feed them into an array of strings each of 2422 chars in length.
I know the exact positions of each field within each record but I am at a loss as to how to break them out of the one big string when I have trimmed the header and footer records from the file.
When all this is done I have to insert these records into a database table.
