I have been working to transfer an insecure, poorly coded web page over to asp.net with C#, and have hit a snag.
I'm trying to program a menu using repeaters which checks each item on the menu for a picture string; If the string is "", then the item name, which would otherwise be a link, would now be a label.
I've been trying to use front-end if statements to fulfill this, but so far they have been unable to access the values I'm setting.
For example, I tried to store the value in a hidden field in the code below:
