I'm having real problems with this, spent all day and got nowhere.
1) call window.showModalDialog / window.open from Iframe which loads a popup containing a user control.
2) inside user control I have a btnSave_Click event handler which saves data on the popup into the BLL/DAL
3) inside handler I call ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock with my script block.
I've tried everything in the script block:
window.opener.location.reload();
window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href
window.close()
etc...exponential variations of the above moving the script block into the user control, into the containing page, commenting code out, removing code, adding code etc....
but getting nowhere. Why is this so difficult? I could write a library in C++ that does this quicker than working out how this crappy javascript and .NET is put together ...
