gridview & dataset problem......

hi to all,

in my Page i have grid view and ajax tab and around 100 controls.

i will get the data while pageload from the db to static dataset

i will load the dataset into gridview at first.

after selected any row from gridview filter and assign the row into datatable.

and done updates in the row.

after that update the global dataset.

when the user clicks the save button then only, i want update the dataset values into DB.

now my question is:

1. my way of process is correct or not.

2. if correct means, finally how to update the dataset into db.
   else
       is any available in C# to archive this.(am using C# 3.5).
