I was in a seminar recently on ASP.NET. During the seminar we discussed both Linq and the Entity Framework (I have not used either one of these technologies as of yet, but I plan too). Both technologies seemed similar. When I asked the instructor what the differences were and why I should use one technology over the other he told me that although Linq is fairly new, it is being replaced by the Entity Framework and that I should not bother to learn Linq. Is this true?
