I've successfully been building a web app using VS2008 for several years now. I thought it long overdue to test the app using IIS rather than the built-in Cassini.
It has been a nightmare of incompatibilities so far. Relying heavily on this column, the latest stumbling block I've encountered is this message: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. Mixed mode debugging is not supported on Windows 64-bit platforms."
I've read MANY things about this problem but none have provided a solution as of yet.
Here's my setup:
VS2008 (run as an Administrator)
.NET 3.5 SP1
Windows 7 - 64 bit
IIS 7.5
I have no path forward as to how to solve this problem. Evidently my app will have to run in Window 7 (and its successors) IIS 7.5 (and its successors).
