Hi. I'm converting some company code to partial trust due to recent policy changes and have hit a snag. I'm rather new at all of this so would greatly appreciate some help.
I have a DLL that is strongly named that I wish to call under a web application that is set to partial trust (specifically, a custom trustLevel I spawned off of Medium trust). I have set AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers in the DLL, and can instantiate it from the web app just fine.
The problem is, the DLL in question requires OLEDB connections, and it doesn't seem to work. When it tries to open the OLE database, it hits a permission error, even though I've added the OleDBPermission to my policy. I've done some reading, and it seems to indicate that OLEDB cannot be done under partial trust mode. So my questions are: A) is this indeed true? and B) if so, how do set the DLL to be run fully trusted even though the app itself is not? Is this somethi ...
