Javascript onload, onresize -- gets "not a member of ...master" error

Using VS2005,
I want to run a javascript function "onload" of my masterpage - but I'm getting the following compile error:
       "'myMethod' is not a member of 'ASP.masterpage_master'."
 
I can't figure out what the problem is... can someone point me in the right direction?
Any input appreciated.
