I am new to asp.net. M working on a project that requires embedding a youtube video in my website. I have tried the youtube javascript API and also the embed code that is written alongside the URL of a particular youtube video. But the real issue is I want to embed the videos like it is done in Orkut's Add video feature. Copy pasting the link of any video in a textbox or the embed html code in the textbox and clicking on the button saves the link in the MS sqlserver 2005 database.
Also, I want to know how to save a textbox value like the String of URL of a youtube video in the database and the code to retrieve that value.
I am using asp server controls like a textbox and a button, a sqlDataSource control to connect to the database. I have a also created a database and a table in to save the URL. But I dont know the code to actually save the value of the textbox in the table by clicking on a button.
Also what type of value should i use ...
