Redirect the user to specific page after clicking a link.

Hi, 
 
I have a requirement where, i would like to redirect the user to specific page after clicking on a link to access the page. 
I will email the link to the user, once user received the email he/she can click on the link, if user is not logged in, i will stop at the log in page but after log in, i should redirect the user to specific page instead of default page. I really appreciate if you let me know your idea's?
