Problem with radio button list :S its value won't change.

First how do I check if 1 of its items are checked?
I wanted to avoid it so I added selected=true on 1 of them in client side.

But now no matter what I mark it is always the same value it was selected on by default.

I tried
if(rbl.SelectedItem.Value==q.r_ans) But when I check the value on breakpoint it gives me diff value then I assigned it to 
 
rbl is the list.
