I need to develop a site with several sections each having different credentials required to access. The credentials for sections are stored in different sql tables, the logins are not required to be unique, i.e. there could be same logins in two or more sections. Probably, the easiest way to implement this would be to create several different websites but I would prefer to keep only one, there is a lot of information, code, design etc. to be shared. Also, one website is easier to maintain.
So I decided to use role based security and limit sections access according to roles.
Since there could be the same logins for different sections I can't determine roles by a login. But I can easily determine a role and a way credentials must be checked when processing login page just by looking at the page the request come from. So far so good.
