Could not load assembly... make sure it is compiled...

Using VS2005, VB.NET code behind and lots of java script:
I've got a site that has been working in production for some time now. I made some simple changes and tested them through VS without incident. When I publish the changes to my localhost and try to access one the main pages of the site I get the following error:
System.Web.HttpException: Could not load the assembly 'App_Web_zvkdq0gv'. Make sure that it is compiled before accessing the page. at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.GetType(String typeName, Boolean ignoreCase, Boolean throwOnError) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessInheritsAttribute(String baseTypeName, String codeFileBaseTypeName, String src, Assembly assembly) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.PostProcessMainDirectiveAttributes(IDictionary parseData)
 When I check the bin for the site I do not event see a dll named "App_Web_zvkdq0gv". I tried deleting the bin folder, rebuilding the site and republishing but still get ...
