Can the asp.net membership framework include properties that can go down to the asp.net control level?
Meaning, if I have a grid and there is a column in the grid called SSN, I want to be able to let the Manager role view the SSN column, but be invisible to other roles.
I know you can perform this in the itemdatabound event of the grid where you can make the SSN visible or not. However, I'm hoping the asp.net membership has gotten more functionality where I don't have to code something like that.
I'm hoping where it should be smart enough to recognize I'm in a manager role and for the grid to display the SSN column. If I'm in another role, the SSN column shouldn't be displayed.
