Trim Function in ASP.Net Grid

Hi All,
When i am checking this in data grid i am getting 6. But the actually nothing is in column.Actually it should give 0 but this is giving 6.Is there any way if we can get 0 as length.
objargs.Item.Cells(8).Text = Len(UCase(objargs.Item.Cells(8).Text).Trim)
PLease suggest
