I need to provide a mechanism whereby when a user selects a row from a grid they can open it up in a new window. The trouble is that I need to do it from the code behind. The reason is that when the user selects the record we turn the ID into a guid and pass the guid to the next page so as to avoid anyone able to hack the ID. This guid is stored in the session as we have load balancing servers, therefore we need to go back to the server with the selected record ID create a guid and pass this to the new page in the query string.
The ideal solution would be to have some response. method where we could open the page in a new window/tab. Has anyone got any ideas on how this can be achieved? I've been looking on the web and can find nothing to do this. Any ideas?
