Hello,
i searched the forum for an identical post but i didn't find one that covers my problem:
I have a Javascript code that polls every second the status via a web-service to track the progress of a long running postback operation. That works, no problem.
But now i have to access the session state to access the status (the postback operation writes to), to gain specific information.
To access this i set the EnableSession-Attribute of my WebMethod to True. It works: I can access the session state, but: The Web-Service -Method is called after the complete postback operation has finished now; regardless of my javascript calls.
How is it possible to get back my asynchronous behavior? I cant believe that web-services are processed synchronously if you want to access the session state. So please help me.

Thanks in advance.
Mark R.
