date validation

i am using asp.net with c# code. So i created web page in that i placed 2 asp:textbox controls for entering date in indian formate (dd/mm/yyyy), so i am getting problem while submitting the date. Here i want to check whether the entered date is valid(legal )date. While validating it has to check for whether entered date comes under leap year or not. How can i accomplish this, is their any control, method, function, events. Please suggest.
