Hi
I like to know the standard practice of using VSS for Websites.
At our company our practice is below:
Developed website is tested locally using Visual Studio
Then add the website to VSS database(placing on VSS server)
Manually copying the same website from local PC to inetpub-->wwwroot and pointing IIS to the folder.
Questions
Is the above pracice standard ?
Let me know the standard practice of using VSS and mainting for websies on web server.
What files/directories should be placed on VSS? Any good practices?
Please try to provide accurate info rather than providing links/urls. Ofcourse best sources are appreciated.
