Ok, so I have developed a web site/form in a class but I need some explanation of how it all comes togther. If anyone could answer the following questions it would be very helpful:
1.) Say I have an existing non-dynamic html webpage that I do not run from a server but is hosted by a provider. Can I add an ASP.NET form/web page to the existing site or do I need to actually host the site in order to use ASP.NET
2.) I understand that IIS is a sort of server or something? Do I run that from my PC to host the website or something?
3.) Do I need a special web hosting service or anything to run an ASP.NET website?
4.) Are there any extra requirements to hosting a connected database to an ASP.NET website?
-I am not asking for code because for the most part I am very familar with C#/VB, but rather I am trying to understand the implementation of an ASP.NET webpage and what is involved.
